Ingredients:
  • Biscuit mix or bread dough from scratch
  • Water
 
How to Prepare:
How primitive can you get? Pat dough into 0ne inch cake and put it on several sweet green leaves.Sweep coals and ash to one side and lay cake on hot hearth. Cover with more leaves and then gray ashes and hot coals.Test in 10 minutes by pushing dry stem of grass into it, if it comes out clean the bread is done. (this recipe came from the 1967 cooking merit badge pamphlet for the Boy Scouts of America)
