Backpacking: No Effort: easy Serves: 5-6 Prep time: 60m+
 
Ingredients:
  • 1-2 pkgs Polish or Smoked Sausage
  • 6 Unpeeled potatoes
  • 1 bag of carrots (can use baby carrots)
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 large heads of cabbage
  • 6 ears of corn
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 can of beer
  • 4-6 cups water
 
How to Prepare:
Take a large pot (we use an old beer keg) put all ingredients in. Place on a tripod over campfire. When the cabbage is done everything should be ready.

CAMPING TIP

Use a nighty mesh bag to carry dishes in. Then when it comes time to wash them, dunk in hot soapy water. Will wash clean if no food left on. Hang bag in tree to dry!
